Saturday Fragfest! - March 12th, 2009

Warlord Fans are welcome and encouraged to free up a couple hours this Saturday. Specifically, the hours around 12PM PST (GMT -8, for you folks on the other side of the date line!). That’s right: Fragfest is back with avengeance. Players will find various Isotx staff (identifiable by ‘Isotx’ in their names) around the servers this weekend for matches on various maps, with varying difficulty: there’s something for everyone, and we’d love to have you join us to blow Confederates apart.

(Forgot what fragfest is? Not to worry, we’ve explained it out for you.)

We hope to see you there!

Warlord in the Press - March 10th, 2009

Over the past few months, Warlord has been featured and reviewed by several gaming portals. If you haven’t been able to keep up, here’s a quick view of what you missed!

  • “If Iron Grip: Warlord is any indication, Isotx should be considered a creative force to be reckoned with.  Delivering the best aspects of first person shooters and blending the experience with RTS elements has made for an amazing combination.  Iron Grip is nothing but simple fun and players wanting a distraction from those prettier and more expensive titles should make it a point to purchase Iron Grip.” – Andreas Asimakis, Games Abyss
  • “… if you can get a group of people together you know to play with, I really do think this game is worth the $25 they’re selling it for. It’s not perfect, but the first commercial game from an indie developer rarely is. Isotx has shown a ton of promise, and is definitely a company to be looking out for in the future.” – Jonathan Ross, Destructoid
  • “The Iron Grip series may bring about some change in the gaming community that, for the better, will introduce a new type of game that caters, not only to the people who want to run and gun, but to those gamers who want something with a little more meat than your average first person shooter.” – David Zerolink Vizcaino, Gamers Daily News

As another note of interest, Iron Grip: Warlord can now be found on Direct2Drive. Feel free to take a moment and show your support.

Unreleased Art: Confederate Fighter - March 3rd, 2009

While we work on gathering articles to show you about our upcoming patch this month, we thought it would be a good idea to share the last of our unreleased art. This particular piece is unlike the previous ones in the respect that it’s not one of the character models you see regularly or a location often shown — it is, in fact, the Confederate Fighter, a fighter jet model that some of you might recognize from the Spiral map.

This ends the series of unreleased art (for now) - but keep your eyes peeled for updates on an upcoming contest and the new patch, all of which are due this month!
